Franco Accursio Gulino (b. 1949, Sciacca) has received numerous national and international awards and held numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout his career.
Gulino’s work revolves around the abolition of cultural barriers, interconnection between the East and the West, dialogue and communication.
Gulino’s solo exhibitions include “Design and the Embalmer”, New York (1997), “Camminanti”, Nairobi (2011), “PPP. Una Polemica Inversa. Omaggio a Pier Paolo Pasolini”, a collective exhibition inspired by the writer’s poetry, Rome (2012), a major retrospective exhibition at Galleria d’Arte Moderna di Palermo entitled “Memorie. Ritratto d’Artista” (2015), “Black Friday” at the Hôtel de Paris, Monte-Carlo (2019) and “Corde Tese e Passi” organised by the Orestiadi Foundation of Gibellina at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Belmonte Riso in Palermo (2020). His work is included in the permanent collection of the Italian President’s residency Quirinal Palace.
