Jingshi Wang

Jingshi Wang is a visual artist, stained-glass maker and winner of the 2022 Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Art Ciclitira Prize.

Jingshi studied printmaking at the China Central Academic of Fine Art. After graduating she completed a Masters of Fine Art, Goldsmith, University, London. She was interested in medieval narrative structures and handicraft which lead her to study at the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Art.

Her work is often filled with symbolic elements, as well as personal fragmented images. She draws inspiration from poetry, illuminated manuscripts, and folklore.
