Exhibiting Artist: Ruby Huh

Ruby Huh graduated from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (2016) in fine art and art history. Working with painting and ceramics, her pieces are mainly inspired by philosophy, theoretical physics, and the human mind. She is fascinated by repetition in the natural world, as well as living organism’s abilities to recognise patterns. Using order and repetition, she creates geometrical works to portray consciousness and its connection to the universe. She investigates the relationships between awareness and self, experience and reality, and the mind and the universe.

Using soft, toned-down colour palettes and lustrous glaze, she expresses sentiments on her nostalgic experiences. Ruby has previously exhibited her works at  Saatchi Gallery, CICA Museum, Platform-L Contemporary Art Center, Hana Bank Private Art Fair and many more.

She is also an artist at K-Auction and ArtSpace HYEONG Gallery. She  currently lives and works in Seoul, South Korea.
